IS THIS A "HOT" STOCK?This company is growing so fast that there will probably be more developments before I get this review finished. I reported on this company in my August 1999 issue of "Russ Reports" and there have been some news items since that time. So, let me give you some highlights of this company and then send you on your way to do some of your own "DD" or Research on this company so that you have all the information you need to make any decision on whether or not you feel this company will fit in with your investment portfolio. So that you are fully advised prior to reading the information below, YES - I have a position of 3000 shares of common stock in this company. This stock was not given to me by the company or anyone else, I paid for it out of my own, now almost empty, pocket.
TELTRAN INTERNATIONAL (TLTG)OTC:BB *** My only regret about this company is that I did not find it soon enough to take advantage of the lower end of its 52 Week Range. However, it is better late than never so what is TLTG all about? ***First, before we get into some details, let me tell you that TLTG is one of the OTC:BB stocks that has made it to the BIG TIME in that it soon will be listed on the AMEX (American Stock Exchange) as they have applied for that listing and have been accepted and have already chosen their new stock symbol of "TLT" when they begin trading on the AMEX. That should be very soon but it is not possible to provide a date when that will happen at this time.
TELTRAN INTERNATIONAL provides a fantastic internet Portal which is very user friendly and is growing day by day. Teltran's
primary business is Internet Telephone, also known as Voice over Internet Protocal (VoIP). VoIP is a form of telecommunications
whereby the Internet is used as the link between the origination and termination of a voice, fax or data message. The technology
they use to enable VoIP for their customers is owned by OzEmail Interline, an Australia based company that was recently purchased
by MCI WorldCom. Here is a capsule report on how VoIP vorks: A voice call from a phone in the US to a phone in Australia is routed by the callers local Phone Company to one of Teltran's Gateways in New York. Teltran's Gateway will then route the call over either the public Internet or a private Internet set up by Teltran, depending on the country of destination, to the Interline Control Node. The Control Node will then route the call, over the public/private Internet, to the Gateway of the Australian member of the Interline network. The call is then routed to the local Phone Company in Australia and the call is completed in the same amount of time it takes to complete a standard phone call and at a fraction of the cost. TELTRAN's "Teltran.com" web portal which is another large part of their business has grown since its inception to the point where it is averaging over 50,000 hits per day. Users can access news, weather and sports headlines, make on-line purchases through their Virtual Shopping Mall and even take advantage of UniDial's low long distance rates and full line of telecom services now available due to their recent acquisition of OmniCom of New York. An exciting feature of the web site is their Financial Hub where users can receive real time Level 2 quotes and perform on-line trading through on-line brokerages. TELTRAN's CEO, Mr. Bryron R. Lerner, said that small losses from the first and second quarter operations are expected but the third quarter will be profitable due to the TVS contracts they have signed. Mr Lerner, stated, "We will begin sending live traffic later in May. The TVS contracts will give us significant cash flow. We are dealing with major US telecom carriers who have secured their TVS capacity with either cash deposits or Letters of Credit. Payments from the contracts are weekly and they are basically self-funding; therefore, our only cash requirement is for equipment that will pay for itself in a matter of months." Mr. Lerner, added, "Our new international operations will come on-line in the Fourth Quarter of 1999 and we believe the addition of these three countries will increase our profit expectations for 2000 substantially. In fact, I believe our revenues and profits will increase by at least 30% as a result of our new affiliate locations. I also feel confident that our earnings for the year 2000 will approach or even exceed $1 per share." Recently TELTRAN has been reviewed by "Stockreporter.de", a European company which specializes in the coverage of micro caps and undervalued OTC:BB companies. Stockreporter.de has a short term target price (by end of 1999) near $45.00 per share. I, however, feel that the $45.00 per share price is a little bit of a stretch to attain by the end of 1999 but it could make it to $20.00 plus if the AMEX listing comes in the next month and if the company then releases some news after that listing. I left one bit of information for last as it shows that Teltran Int'l has the shareholders best interests in their Heart of Hearts. Teltran International annouced on July 8, 1999 that their Board of Directors has adopted a semi-annual dividend policy. Dividends will be declared at the end of the third and first quarter and will be payable on the 15th day of April and October. Dividends may be payable in cash or stock. Subsequently, Teltran declared a 5% stock dividend payable Oct. 15, 1999 to all shareholders of record as of the close of trading Sept. 1, 1999. Mr. Lerner, said, "Dividends will be issued to our shareholders on a semi-annual basis with payments dates of Oct. 15 and April 15. The establishment of a regular dividend policy reflects Teltran's continuing effort to enhance shareholder value." To do some of your own "DD" I would point you in the direction of some chat boards but please don't fall prey to some of the HYPE or BASHING that prevails on those boards. Look at the Raging Bull Chat Board as there are some people on that board who seem to know a lot of information on TLTG. Then if you want to get your information direct from the "horses mouth" so to speak, I suggest you latch on to the Teltran web-site as follows: Log On To "TELTRAN"
