Teltran International Reports
Operating Results for the Quarter
Ended September 30, 1999
Company Reports Earnings Per Share of 5 Cents For The Third Quarter
Ending 9/30/99; Revenues Increase Nearly 500% During The Third Quarter
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 4, 1999-- Teltran International (OTC BB: TLTG.OB -
news) announced today that revenues reached $2,274,272 during the quarter ended September 30,
1999, an increase of 1665% versus revenues of $128,855 for the comparative three month period
ended September 30, 1998, and an increase of nearly 500% from the second quarter of 1999. The
company reported that net income for the quarter ended September 30, 1999 totaled $619,213, or
$0.05 per share of common stock as compared with a loss of ($160,008) or ($0.02) for the similar
three-month period ended September 30, 1998.
For the nine months ended September 30, 1999 revenues increased 527% to $2,815,908 versus
revenues of $449,300 for the comparative nine month period ended September 30, 1998.
The substantial increases achieved by the company during both the quarter and nine-month period is
primarily due to factors related to the development of its international telecommunications network.
The company achieved strong across the board growth in revenue from each of its service divisions,
long distance access, and particularly from its expanding presence in broadband and Internet related
services such as VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol).
Byron R. Lerner, President and CEO of Teltran commented, ``I am very pleased with the operating
results that we achieved during the past nine months. Revenues have dramatically increased each
quarter, reflecting increased demand for our products and services in under-served niche markets
around the world, with particular emphasis on high margin broadband related services where in many
companies we are one of the providers. These positive results are gratifying and represent the
culmination of a dedicated effort by Teltran staff members throughout the world. Our ability to report
a strong profit in the third quarter only serves to underscore the success of our business plan. We
believe the quarter-to-quarter growth that has been reported thus far in 1999 reflects the direction in
which the company is headed and we are confident this trend will continue as additional locations
come online in the fourth quarter and into the new millennium. We continue to increase our position
as an international provider of long distance and ''value added`` broadband telecommunication
services,'' added Lerner.
Teltran is a rapidly growing provider of facilities-based International long distance and value added
telecommunication products including Internet services, VoIP, FoIP, web portal development and
hosting, fax broadcasting, and calling card programs. In addition the company has interests in
e-commerce, through a recently completed joint venture for the development of an online music retail
